Postpartum support Group

Understanding that motherhood is the psychological and
spiritual birth of a
woman is the greatest
story never told.
— Aurelie Athan

The postpartum period, or more accurately “the fourth trimester” is a time of intense transition and growth for parents as individuals and for the family unit. Everything is an adjustment and many of us default to survival mode to make it through that first year. We truly believe that well supported Mothers teach the next generation how to support Mothers, and this is how we change the world.

As humans, we are wired to live in community. It seems obvious that the most extraordinary experience of our lives warrants that need for support even more than usual. Our culture preaches independence and privacy over community and connection, but that’s proving to do more harm than good. According to US National Library of Medicine, “Future postpartum depression prevention efforts should integrate a strong focus on social support. Women experience a range of psychological stressors in the postpartum period. Social support has been shown to be effective in helping women cope with these stressors. Moreover, low levels or inconsistent social support have been found to be a strong predictor of postpartum depression and dissatisfaction with social support may increase the risk for clinical and sub-clinical depression during the postpartum period.”

We are on a mission to fill this void in our community. Mothers. Deserve. More.

Postpartum Support Group

This group exists to cultivate the community that we innately crave, so that we may help each other carry the weight of pregnancy, postpartum and motherhood. Let’s create long lasting connections in our community so that we can thrive through this season rather than simply survive it.

If you are postpartum, or planning to be, this group is for you.

We currently meet bi-weekly in Goshen.

Head over to the contact tab to get connected, we’d love to have you!
